Can't decide between the two next-gen consoles? You don't have to – in fact, you could even be playing them simultaneously thanks to the Xbox One's PS4-friendly HDMI passthrough.
Albert Panello, Xbox senior director of product management and planning, has confirmed that the Xbox One's HDMI passthrough will support any HDMI feed – including one from the rival PS4 console.
During a presentation at the Tokyo Game Show, Panello said "any application can be snapped to a game… this could be the live TV fee, so if you wanted to be playing Ryse and Killzone at the same time, you could snap that."
Killzone is a Sony-exclusive FPS game and the latest instalment, Killzone: Shadow Fall, will be one of the PS4's launch titles.
So it opens up the (slightly bonkers) prospect of being able to play on a PS4 and an Xbox One at the same time on the same screen.
Good news for console fence-sitters, but we'll do our gaming one screen at a time, thanks.
